The 21-year-old completed a move to Kaizer Chiefs on transfer deadline day last week, following weeks of speculation over his future with the Clever Boys.
After refusing to extend his contract with the Braamfontein-based club at the start of the season, reports emerged in the media that Frosler was banished from training with the first team and in January he signed a pre-contract with Amakhosi, before he was eventually sold to the Naturena-based side.
"He was permanently transferred to Kaizer Chiefs. He wasn't part of our plans,” Ferreira tells KickOff.com.
“Kaizer Chiefs made us an offer. We accepted the offer and he was sold,” he added.
Frosler’s match fitness is probably a concern, but the speedy right-back will be hoping to make his debut when Amakhosi take on Orlando Pirates in the Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium on Saturday (15h30).
He'll compete with Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Kgotso Moleko for a place at right-back.
