Kaizer Chiefs have continued with their annual player exodus in announcing the departure of another midfielder.
Chiefs have on Tuesday confirmed the axing of Bhongolethu Jayiya with immediate effect, after just two seasons at the club.
Jayiya follows the likes of Hendrick Ekstein, Gustavo Paez, Virgil Vries and Kgotso Malope to have been offloaded in the last few days.
The 29-year-old winger has managed just six appearances across all competitions this season and appeared not to be part of coach Ernst Middendorp's plans.
Having joined from Cape Town City on a three-year deal in 2017, the former Bidvest Wits, Maritzburg United and Mpumalanga Black Aces attacker will be eligible to join the club of his choice on a free transfer from July 1.
Chiefs have now released a total of 37 players and six technical staff members over the course of three years.
