Baroka FC have finally confirmed a decision on the future of Dylan Kerr as the club named their new head coach on Friday.
The Bakgaga hotseat has been afforded to long-serving assistant coach Thoka Matsimela, who has been with the club since 2017.
Matsimela has been leading the team on an interim basis during Kerr's suspension, which came as a result of utterances made against club management at the end of last season.
The Maltese-born tactician, who previously served as coach of Black Leopards, faced a disciplinary hearing at the Limpopo outfit on Monday and the club has since decided to dismiss him.
It is expected that Thomas 'Spaghetti' Nare will continue to assist Matsimela, who has guided his charges through an unbeaten start to the 2020/21 DStv Premiership campaign - winning two and drawing one of their three matches thus far.
Baroka find themselves in an unfamiliar second position on the current log standings, trailing leaders Mamelodi Sundowns by mere goal difference.
