Baroka FC have signed Uthongathi FC left-back Cheslyn Jampies on a three-year deal.

The former Bafana Bafana and Jomo Cosmos star played a total of 27 matches for Uthongathi this season, scoring one goal.

The Cane Cutters missed out on the GladAfrica Championship promotion playoffs by four points having at one stage led the table.

"Ja, I've just signed a three-year contract with Baroka FC. It happened now-now-now, they just left," Jampies reveals to KickOff.com.

Contacted for comment, Bakgaga chairman Khurishi Mphahlele confirms the new development.

"It's the way he plays [that attracted Baroka to Jampies]," says Mphahlele. "He is a quality left-back that one. That's all."
