Yesterday this website broke the news of Macha's capture by Bakgaga and, while Mammila is well known for not liking the idea of signing 'PSL rejects', he has a good feeling about the arrival of the Zambian striker who did not score a single goal in an official game for Amakhosi.
Mammila feels Macha was not given a chance to prove himself at Chiefs, who parted ways with the forward after just one season at Naturena.
"Macha is a good player who did not have a chance at Chiefs. He will fit in our style of play," Mammila tells KickOff.com.
Mammila says PSL rivals should brace themselves for a 'shock signing' that is going to be made by the club next week.
"We are going to make South Africa and the world to stand still with a signing which will hurt most people. Watch the space next week. I'm going to shock South Africa I tell you,” he adds.
Pressed further by this website if the player will be from one of the big three of Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Chiefs, Mammila didn't want to give anything away.
“It's someone you know, someone 99% of South Africans know. It's a gem. All along I was observing how the big teams succeed in this league and I'm going to compete with them on all angles,” he says.
“I have learned a lot from Chiefs and Pirates.”
