Baroka FC are looking to bring in a former AmaZulu and Platinum Stars midfielder for the 2019/20 PSL season.
According to a reliable source within the National First Division side, negotiations between Kulegani Madondo’s club Richards Bay and Baroka have already started. All that’s left is for Bakgaga is to make a concrete offer for the hard working midfielder.
The 28-year-old Pietermaritzburg born central-midfielder has also played for the likes of Bidvest Wits and Maritzburg United and the national under-23 team.
Richard Bay’s top striker Michael Gumede, meanwhile, looks set to be making his way to AmaZulu after terminating his pre-contract with relegated Free State Stars.
"He had a contract with Free State Stars but now that they've been relegated that contract has been terminated,” a source tells KickOff.com.
“We are looking to keep him, but obviously there's interest from AmaZulu so we will see. He scored 10 goals for us last season and he started 27 games so he is one of our key players. Look they terminated because he wanted to play PSL, that's why he signed for them and now they've been relegated so he is not interested in going there anymore. Now AmaZulu have confirmed their interest.
"Baroka are also interested in Madondo. That deal is not confirmed yet, we will see where that goes. But negotiations have started."
