Bakgaga have brought in over 10 players that Thobejane plans to test against the likes of Platinum Stars, Bidvest Wits and Free State Stars in this weekend's pre-season tournament hosted by the league champions at Sturrock Park.
"We've got Gift Motupa on loan for a season from [Orlando] Pirates, Talent [Chawapiwa] has arrived and he is a genius,
"There is also Robin Ngalande from Malawi. You know about Lucky Nguzana, David Mathebula. There's also Xolani Ndlovu, a winger we recruited from the Maimane Phiri tournament. How can I forget [Lewis] Macha and Tanzanian defender Abdi Banda. We also have these three young boys from our development. It's Museli Goodman, Ntsoane Rebone as well as Thabiso Selimela. We are not going to sign goalkeepers," says Thobejane.
"We are planning to use all of them this weekend at Sturrock Park in the tournament that is organised by Wits. With this squad, I'm not afraid of any team. I don't analyse opponents because that will only take away my time to observe what I have, which is my player.
"We (Baroka) are in Eastgate as I'm speaking to you, in a hotel, eating breakfast, you can hear the by the sound of the plates that it's fork and knife all the way here, it means we are relaxed. We plan to win this weekend's friendlies, that will be a moral booster to the team. You must start by winning these friendlies, otherwise how are you going to win serious games when you fail to win a friendly?
Last season the Polokwane outfit only managed to register five wins in 30 league matches, something they are looking to improve on in the coming season.
