Nkosi welcomes Bucs competition

Nkosi arrived at the Buccaneers from Free State Stars last month, after a fine second half to the 2015/16 season.

The 23-year-old has welcomed competition against the likes of Thamsanqa Gabuza, Tendai Ndoro and Thabiso Kutumela for a place in the team.

“Competition is part of football. In football there is always competition whether you like it or not,” Nkosi tells KickOff.com.

“There is always somebody you compete with for a position and all I can do is to work hard to stake my claim in the team.”

The former Ea Lla Koto attacker also praises the warm welcome he has recieved  from the team since the beginning of the pre-season.

“I am settling well; everyone has been welcoming," he adds. ”I just hope as we move towards the start of the season we gel more as a team.”

Nkosi came on as a second half substitute as Pirates managed to beat Platinum Stars on penalties to claim the Bokone Bophirima Maize Cup on Saturday.
