Former Orlando Pirates defender Ayanda Gcaba looks set to sign with a club in the GladAfrica Championship after making a huge impression during his assessment.
Gcaba started training with Royal Eagles last week and wasted no time settling down to his new surroundings at the club's base in Pietermaritzburg.
The former Buccaneer is set to sit down with the club management this week to discuss terms on a contract.
"Ayanda is meeting with the club before Friday to discuss the issue of a new contract," a close source tells KickOff.com.
Eagles manager Richard Makhoba has also confirmed the possibility of signing Gcaba.
"He has done well at training and during the couple of friendly games we played," he adds.
The 33-year-old has been without a club since leaving Pirates at the end of the 2017/18 campaign following a spell on loan at Platinum Stars. He also had trials with Black Leopards and Real Kings during the off-season.
