Indications from SuperSport United are that Mamelodi Sundowns are set to close a deal for long-time target Aubrey Modiba next week.
Sundowns have been tracking Modiba since last season and failed in an attempt to secure his signature at the end of January this year.
However, the Limpopo-born wide-player now looks set to be unveiled by The Brazilians with a host of other new signings next season including Ricardo Goss, Haashim Domingo and Gift Motupa.
Modiba has already left the bio-bubble and gone home after his fiancé gave birth recently and will not feature in the club's last two games of the season this week.
His agent Glyn Binkin confirms that Modiba has left the Matsatsantsa camp but referred us to Stan Matthews regarding his client's move to Chloorkop.
"Yes, he has gone home but please speak to Stan," Binkin tells KickOff.com.
SuperSport CEO Matthews all but confirms the move is finally happening having told this website last month that Sundowns submitted a fresh offer.
"His move to Sundowns is at an advanced stage but won’t be finalised for sure one way or the other until next week," he says.
"He and his partner just had a baby a couple days back so he was released from camp for the birth."
Sundowns have already unveiled Lesedi Kapinga and George Maluleka to bolster their squad for next season, and have also been linked with Peter Shalulile and Mothobi Mvala at Highlands Park.
