Zwane, Sheppy to lead Chiefs on Sunday

Kaizer Chiefs assistant coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard have been tasked to lead the club's reserve team this Sunday.

Zwane and Sheppard will both have two assignments this weekend as Chiefs' first team and reserve team will be in action.

Amakhosi face Cameroonian outfit PWD Bamenda in their CAF Champions League preliminary round second leg at FNB Stadium on Friday (18h00), before the under-21 side takes on Mamelodi Sundowns in their DStv Diski Challenge opener on Sunday.

The duo, who were roped in to assist head coach Gavin Hunt at the start of the season, have also been given the responsibility of leading the club's youth feeder team.

"Kaizer Chiefs' reserve team will begin their 2020/21 campaign with a trip to Giant Stadium in Soshanguve north of Pretoria to face Mamelodi Sundowns in what is sure to be an entertaining and exciting opener to the season for Amakhosi against the former champions," read a statement on the club's website.

"On the bench for Chiefs in their DStv Diski Challenge opener will be first team assistant coaches Arthur Zwane and Dillon Sheppard. 

"Zwane, who has been in charge of Chiefs' reserve team since 2016, will lead the line from the bench with support from Sheppard as well as another of Chiefs' coaches from the youth ranks Tshidiso Letsholonyane."
