AmaZulu v Gallants clash abandoned

Premiership

The DStv Premiership clash between AmaZulu and Marumo Gallants has been abandoned due to kit colour clash between the sides on Wednesday afternoon at King Zwelithini Stadium.

The match started on time but was halted in the tenth minute as match officials were struggling to make offside calls, as the colours of both sides were almost similar.

AmaZulu were asked to change their kit from their traditional green to white but they refused, as they are the home side.

There was a stand off, as a result, as Bahlabane Ba Ntwa could not change their kit, as they did not have an alternative strip having travelled from Limpopo.

There match could also not be played later in the day, as there are no floodlights at the stadium, as the lights are reportedly taken out for repairs.

As a result, the match was abandoned. The Premier Soccer League will communicate the rescheduled date in due course.
