AmaZulu FC are set to announce Phakamani Mahlambi and Veli Mothwa as their new players in Johannesburg today.
Usuthu are set to unveil the two players as well as a new general manager after calling a media conference in Sandton citing a 'new direction' for the club.
As reported by KickOff.com, former Chippa United goalkeeper Mothwa has joined Usuthu on permanent deal while Mahlambi is most likely a loan move from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Sources close to the Mahlambi deal had indicated there were several issues making a move complicated, but it is believed those sticking points have finally been sorted out.
"Mahlambi completed his move last week, he was set to be unveiled with Anele Ngcongca but due to the passing of the defender it was delayed," a close source confirms.
This website also understands that the management and coach Ayanda Dlamini had a meeting on Monday morning to analyse the first five games of the season after only collecting five points.
"There was a meeting between coach and management to look at the first five games of the season, the pressure is on for Coach Ayanda," another source reveals.
Club officials Brilliant Mkhathini and Qedi Dlamini were not available for comment while Mahlambi's agent Glyn Binkin could not be reached.
