AmaZulu sweating over Shabba fitness

Premiership

AmaZulu are sweating over the fitness of midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala ahead of the trip to face Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday.

Usuthu travel to Pretoria on Sunday to face the defending champions in an intriguing DStv Premiership clash at Loftus Stadium.

New owner Sandile Zungu has signed a number of high-profile players including Xola Mlambo, Augustine Mulenga, Luvuyo Memela and Tshabalala.

However, 'Shabba' is yet to make his debut in the green and white colours since signing a few weeks ago after picking up a muscle strain at training.

"The medical team is still monitoring his fitness and we will know soon if he will travel with the team to Pretoria on Sunday," AmaZulu spokesperson Brilliant Mkhathini tells KickOff.com.

AmaZulu have four points after three league matches, while Sundowns are three points further ahead on top of the table.
