Josephs: My club needs me

Cape Town-born Josephs took time out to attend to his mother, who is now in a stable condition after undergoing heart surgery.

"My mother is stable," Josephs tells KickOff.com.

"She's had an operation and she'll be fine. At this stage she's not using any tablets and stuff. Also, her sisters are there looking after her and she'll be fine."

He adds: "The club needs me and again she'll be fine because there's support from her sisters and my family."

Uusuthu coach Cavin Johnson has ruled the former Orlando Pirates and Bidvest Wits keeper out of contention for Saturday's Telkom Knockout quarter-final with Bucs at Moses Mabhida Stadium (18h00).

The 38-year-old has not played in the last four matches for the club, with his previous appearance coming against Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on September 22.

Siyabonga Mbatha will be in goal against the Sea Robbers.
