SuperSport halt Chiefs' winning start

Bradley Grobler had a late penalty saved as Kaizer Chiefs and SuperSport United played to a 1-1 draw in their Absa Premiership clash at FNB Stadium on Saturday.
Chiefs had the first opportunity of the match when Khama Billiat broke quickly on the counter-attack and played Samir Nurkovic through, but the Serbian's first touch took him too wide of goal and his eventual cross was plucked out of the air by Supersport shot-stopper Ronwen Williams.
The Amakhosi took the lead in the 15th minute. Lebogang Manyama played a beautiful diagonal for Nurkovic, who surged in to the box and his shot from an impossibly acute angle deflected off the foot of Grant Kekana and sailed over the head of Williams in to the back of the net.
Matsatsantsa had their best moment in the 25th minute. Teboho Mokoena whipped in a free-kick from the left-hand side of the box close to the byline but Kekana's header unluckily came back off the upright before being cleared away.
The visitors almost equalised three minutes before the interval. Kudakwashe Mahachi swung the ball in to the box and Evans Rusike chested it in to the path of Sipho Mbule, whose first-time effort went inches wide.
In the 53rd minute, Siyabonga Nhlapo delivered in to the box from the right-hand side where Grobler escaped the attentions of Erick Mathoho at the back-post but the in-form striker's header was straight at Chiefs goal-keeper Daniel Akpeyi.
The Glamour Boys had to withstand a lot of pressure from the visitors at the beginning of the second half, but got in to their groove thereafter as Nurkovic had two decent attempts to double the tally.
First, he latched on to Billiat's cross at the back post but headed straight at Williams. Then, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya found him lurking at the back post once again and his volleyed effort brought a fine save out of Williams with his legs.
Soon after, Billiat was played through by Nurkovic down the right-hand side of the box, but his sweetly-struck effort grazed the outside of the right-hand upright.
Nurkovic's flicked header then released Dumisani Zuma through on goal but just as he was about to pull the trigger, Nhlapo produced a brilliant last-ditch intervention.
SuperSport equalised in the 83rd minute. Rusike latched on to a long ball and threaded through a lovely pass for Grobler, who slotted calmly past Akpeyi for a composed finish.
Matsatsantsa had a chance to win in the final minute of injury time when they won a penalty for a handball. Grobler stepped up but Akpeyi guessed right and made the save to give Chiefs a share of the points.
