CT Spurs decide Mosiatlhaga's future

Golden Boot winner Abednego Mosiatlhaga will be staying with Cape Town Spurs in the upcoming season, the club has confirmed.

Mosiatlhaga had an impressive 2019/20 season with Ajax Cape Town after he was dumped by then-National First Division champions Stellenbosch FC at the end of the 2018/19 campaign.

That did not kill the 25-year-old's spirits as he went on to score 18 league goals in 26 GladAfrica Championship matches, even though it was not enough to win the Urban Warriors promotion.

In his previous interviews Mosiatlhaga made it no secret that he was looking to go back to playing PSL football having initially stepped down a tier from from Bidvest Wits.

Asked by KickOff.com if the club was keeping Mosiatlhaga, Spurs media officer Thabiso Mekuto replied: "Yes, it's always about the team first."

At one stage the likes of Swallows FC and Tshakhuma FC showed interest in the player but it appears he will be lining up for Vladislav Heric's side next season.
