Mobara was named man of the match for his performance against the Chilli Boys and stressed the need for Pirates to kick on after the win.
“First and foremost, all glory goes to the Almighty, if it wasn’t for Him nothing would be possible today. And thank you to the coach and the technical team of Orlando Pirates as a whole for giving me the opportunity to play today,” he said on SuperSport TV.
“We always knew it was gonna be a tough game, Chippa is always a team that passes a lot and for us [the plan was] just to keep disciplined, keep shape and eventually we will score.”
Mobara knows his side need to stay on their toes for a top-eight spot, with Maritzburg United, Golden Arrows and Platinum Stars also fighting for the last two places.
“All the points are needed at all times, we’re in a difficult spot and we want to win each and every game and be in the top eight, and that’s what the goal is,” he added.
“Every game is important, every point is needed. Three points is what we came for and that’s what we got.”
