Musona breaks silence on possible PSL return

Players Abroad

Knowledge Musona has evidently shut the door on a return to the PSL after long-standing interest in his services from former club Kaizer Chiefs.

Musona was on the wanted list of Chiefs recently with Orlando Pirates said to be keen, while Mamelodi Sundowns have previously also shown interest.

The Zimbabwean forward spent close to a decade playing in Germany and Belgium before moving to Saudi Arabia Pro League club Al-Tai on a two-year contract.

"I have settled well in Saudi Arabia. It is a very strong league and I like it here," says Musona in an interview with The Sunday Mail.

"It is very professional. The only difference is the culture but football-wise, I will put it up there with Europe and South Africa.

"There is no difference but it's just that the culture and the lifestyle are different from Europe, but in terms of football, it is one of the best leagues in Asia, and one of the teams from here is playing in the Asian Champions League final, and that shows that it is a very good league.

"I hope to play for more years here. The people here really love their football, they are very passionate, they support their teams whether they win or lose.

"So far I have scored two goals in seven matches, hopefully, many more are coming," says Musona.

Musona remains popular with Chiefs fans after registering 44 goals during two spells at the club.
