The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) have slapped Al Ahly head coach Pitso Mosimane with a fine after his comments in his latest press conference.
Mosimane bemoaned the fixture schedules of Egypt after the 1-1 draw with Zamalek in the Cairo Derby on Monday, with the reverting clash being played before the CAF Champions League quarter-final against Mamelodi Sundowns.
As a result, the league has sanctioned the Red Devils coach with a fine of 20 thousand Egyptian Pounds (R17 835) for his statements which suggest the league schedule hinders their ambitions.

"If it were my way because Ahly is the only time playing in the CAF Champions League representing Egypt, we would protect Ahly and not play a game of the magnitude of Zamalek," he said on Monday.
The EFA confirmed in an official statement that Mosimane had been punished for 'hate speech' while other members of the technical team were also punished for various other transgressions.
