Mbappe, 19, scored in the 3-0 victory over his parent-club AS Monaco on Saturday to secure PSG's fifth consecutive Coupe de la Ligue title, as his attacking brilliance in the absence of the injured Neymar continues to shine through.
With 19 goals and 17 assists in 39 games, the France international has further enhanced his credentials ahead of his £128m (R2.13b) permanent transfer at the end of the season.
As the second most expensive transfer in football history behind Neymar, Mbappe confirmed he will continue to develop his exciting partnership with the Brazil international - who's been linked with a LaLiga return.
"He sends me messages regularly to encourage me on the pitch," Mbappe told Telefoot. "I sent him a message to get well soon, get playing again and then have a good World Cup -- but not to win it [laughs].
"The rumours are just hot air."
