Orlando Pirates coach Milutin Sredojevic is not letting his guard down and insists Cape Town City are still in the Absa Premiership title race.
Pirates are gearing up towards their penultimate test of the season as they look to take a step closer to the coveted championship when they visit the Citizens this weekend.
The Buccaneers were able to grind out a 1-0 victory over relegation-threatened Maritzburg United last week and this time face a side with contrasting ambitions in the league.
The Mother City outfit are currently in fourth position – six points and four goals off the summit of the table, with just two games remaining – and Sredojevic is adamant their mathematical chance is enough to spur them on this Saturday.
“For us it’s to focus our attention on the deepest possible details. We know we’re going to a team that is higher in the log compared to one that is [at the bottom],” said Micho.
“They still have a mathematical chance to fight even for the [league] trophy, and they are a team coached by a very good coach with quality individuals.
“For us, Cape Town is always a difficult place to go and play, and we need to refocus and prepare properly for this game because this is our next cup final away from home, with one more against Polokwane to go at home.”
