Pirates set to finalise Xoki's deal

Orlando Pirates

AmaZulu FC’s Thapelo Xoki is expected to fly to Johannesburg this week to finalise his move to Orlando Pirates.

Xoki, who captained AmaZulu this season is set to join Pirates as part of a swap deal that involves striker Gabadinho Mhango who is set to go the opposite way.

The 27-year-old defender is set to join the Buccaneers on a three-year deal.

According to a source close to Usuthu, the club is also considering bringing on boars Nkanyiso Zungu from the Mighty Bucs.

"The deal between Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu is almost done. Club to club the deal is done, the only thing left is Pirates to agree to terms with Xoki before signing on the dotted line,” said the source.

"He is expected to arrive in Johannesburg this week to put pen to paper. Otherwise, the deal is as good as done,” he added.

Pirates are set to be busy on in the transfer market during the off-season with striker Bienvenu Eva Nga also linked with a move to the Sea Robbers.
