Matsatsantsa made a promising start to the season and went into the Christmas break in the top five on the Absa Premiership standings, but they’ve dropped to eighth place – on 23 points after 17 matches. Celtic, meanwhile, are in seventh place on 25 points.
SuperSport have registered only two wins in their last 10 league matches and they are yet to collect maximum points in 2019, so they know the importance of winning this afternoon’s encounter.
The sides played to a goalless draw in the first half of the season at Dr Petrus Molemela Stadium.
“It's a tough one to be honest,” Daniels tells KickOff.com.
“Celtic can surprise you. So us we must be ready as it's our home game. Celtic is not an easy opponent, like I said, they can come on their day and play a really good game. So we are expecting a very tough game.
“We are focused on getting all three points at home, as you know we are not in a favourable position on the log. So for us to be with the group up there we need to get all maximum points.
“You get three points and you make it easy for yourself, [but] you lose the game and you will be fighting with the guys at the bottom. So it's an important three points for us.”
