SuperSport back on form

The SuperSport goals were scored by Jabulane Maluleke, Letladi Madubanya, Daine Klate and Thabo Mongalo while Siyabonga Nomvete and Lungisani Ndlela scored for Swallows.

Matsatsantsa secured the win thanks to two late goals from Daine Klate and Thabo Mongalo.

With the game tied at 2-2 and five minutes left on the clock, Swallows defenders Davi Rancan and Morgan Shivambu allowed Klate to mesmerise them with his trickery in the box before unleashing a powerful shot with his weaker right foot to give goalkeeper Greg Etafia no chance in the 85th minute.

The Swallows defence was punished two minutes later when they allowed United to deliver a cross that was met by substitute Mongalo who connected with the ball to side-foot past Etafia and put this contest beyond doubt.

In the first half, Swallows could have taken the lead as early as the fourth minute when a miscalculated clearance by United captain Bongani Khumalo nearly rolled into his own net.

United took the lead in the 13th minute after a beautifully worked move which was started in the midfield from where they dispatched Anthony Laffor on the wing who released unmarked Jabulane Maluleke whose goal deflected off veteran Swallows 'keeper Greg Etafia on its way into the empty net.

Swallows equalised in 21st minute when Lefa Tsutsulupa delivered a pin point free kick to Ashraf Henrdicks who headed the ball towards Siyabonga Nomvethe to also use his head and beat United goalkeeper Emille Baron.

In the 40th minute Letladi Madubanya put SuperSport back in front.

Swallows came back for the second time in the game through former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Lungisani Ndlela who headed home Tsutsulupa’s free kick that was taken outside the box.

The game was stopped for few minutes after the goal as Baron got injured while challenging for the aerial ball that led to Ndlela's equaliser.

The introduction of Ndlela for Swallows sparked some life in their work as he kept the United defence busy with his deft touches but his own defenders went to sleep at the death, allowing Klate and Mongalo to ensure three morale boosting points in front of their home supporters.
