Chidzambga: 'No interference'

Chidzambga and Stars shocked the local football fraternity yesterday when they terminated their relationship with the former citing personal problems as reasons for leaving the Bethlehem based club.   Ea Lla Koto have since recalled Steve Komphela to lead the team as head coach for the remainder of this season.   Speaking to KickOff.com last night, the former Zimbabwean national team coach says he enjoyed a good relationship with Free State Stars management, including club owner Mike Mokoena.   "There was no form of interference and I always enjoyed a good relationship with the club management. It even took a lot of effort to convince the club owner to release me from my contract but there are pressing personal matters that I have to attend to back home in Zimbabwe.   "I have left Free State Stars in good faith and am grateful for the chance that the club afforded me to coach in South Africa."   Chidzambga has however not ruled out the possibility of returning to coach in South Africa this season.   "I like the country, the standard of football is high and the League is very competitive. I would not mind returning back to the country if I get another offer, but that can only happen in December after I have sorted out my personal problems in Zimbabwe."   The former Free State Stars coach says he will be leave the country either on Thursday or Friday.
