Hlanti, who has been linked with the big three of Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, has played all four of the Students’ league games this campaign, and has made one assist.
There were reports in the media that the Bafana Bafana left-back had finally extended his stay with the log leaders by a further two years.
But Hlanti - who was Wits' player and players' player of the season in 2017/18 - says even though he is happy with what has been put on the table by the Braamfontein-based club, nothing has been finalised yet.
Hlanti's current contract is thought to run until 2019.
"That is something we are still talking about," Hlanti said.
"But nothing has been finalised yet. Ja, my contract is still the same way it was. But the discussions will be concluded soon. In everything I haven't seen anything bad, in everything they [Wits] are saying you see. At the end if me and my family we are going to be happy ... that's what is important."
The former AmaZulu player says he is looking for no less than a three-year deal at the club.
"Three years is right, three years plus option. As I'm saying I have seen nothing bad you see, because even them the way they have done things in the past - three years. They've proved to be good people to me. So I have to respect that at the end because there's no grudge or anything that they have shown towards me."
