PSL newcomers Sekhukhune United are set to surpass as many as 20 new additions as they prepare for the start of the new season.
Babina Noko – as Sekhukhune are known – have so far recruited an extended list of 17 players to date with more still expected to arrive.
The latest arrival, Justice Chabalala has joined on loan from Orlando Pirates after deciding against heading to Chippa United.
Veteran midfielder Willard Katsande has been the most high-profile signature captured by Sekhukhune following the non-renewal of his contract at Kaizer Chiefs.
Katsande's compatriot, Blessing Sarupinda also joins from CAPS United in Zimbabwe.
Following these arrivals is the capture of Zambian pair, goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata and Mwila Phiri, previously confirmed by by ZESCO United.
Head coach MacDonald Makhubedu and his assistant Thabo Senong have been kept busy through the window with a series of meetings with agents who have been flooding them with players.
Signings that have also already been confirmed are Seu Ledwaba, Tumelo Matona (both Jomo Cosmos), Kamohelo Sithole (TS Sporting), Tshediso Patjie (Baroka FC), Thabo Rakhale (Marumo Gallants), Vusi Mncube (JDR Stars), Talent Chawapiwa (AmaZulu), Nicholus Lukhubeni (Mamelodi Sundowns), Ryan de Jongh (Bloemfontein Celtic), Edwin Gyimah (Black Leopards), Charlton Mashumba (Polokwane City) and Pogiso Mahlangu (Pretoria Callies).
With such a huge list of new players, it means the majority of the squad that clinched promotion to the top-flight will find themselves heading for the exit door.
Sekhukhune are also known to be assessing several other players as part of their pre-season preparations.
