The Serbian is on the books of Al Ahli Jeddah in Saudi Arabia but is on probation till January this year and as KickOffGhana.com reported last Sunday has already hinted he is open for a return to the helm as Ghana coach. Members of the eight-man Black Stars coach search team are due to meet on Monday to prune that list down to four before a decision will be made on the next coach. The GFA has not officially communicated the existence of any list but reports in both local newspapers and radio were rife with names of coaches reportedly on the shortlist. Herbert Addo who coached Aduana Stars to the Ghana League title last term in their first season from the lower division is the only local coach on the list. He is now in charge of the local Black Stars preparing for the Championships of African Nations in Sudan next year. Another name on the list is Marcel Desailly who has been one of the early front runners for the job. The World and European Cup winner is many people's favourite for the job but has not coaching experience. Lothar Matthäus, the German legend who lifted the 1990 World Cup as captain and Juande Ramos, the former Real Madrid coach are all on the list even though it is highly unlikely they will be heading to Ghana. Matthäus only last month signed up as coach of the Bulgaria national team while Ramos took up an appointment as coach of FC Dnipro Dnirpopetrovsk also only a month ago.
