Sredojevic beats Keshi to Rwanda job

Sredojevic, 42, replaces Ghanaian Sellas Tetteh, who left the post two months ago after a 5-0 defeat to Ivory Coast in a 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier.

He was chosen from a five-man shortlist that included Keshi, Ratomir Dujkovic, Patrice Neveu and Branko Smiljanic.

His first task will be to lead the Wasps in a 2014 World Cup qualifier against Eritrea, before contemplating the prospect of a 2013 African Nations Cup preliminary round qualifier against fallen giants Nigeria.

Although the Serb was chosen because of his vast experience in Africa, the highlight of his coaching career is leading Sudanese side Al Hilal to the semifinals of the Africa Champions League.
