Polokwane saw their seven-game unbeaten in the league come to an end after they went down 2-1 to the Buccaneers on on Tuesday evening.

Rise and Shine pulled a goal back in the last minute of regulation time through Ayanda Nkili, and Vukusic believes they had the momentum to snatch the equaliser if they were five more minutes in the game.

“I have to congratulate Orlando Pirates for the win. It was a good game. From both sides tactically it was not easy to play,” Vukusic told SuperSport TV.

“But I think in the first half we played okay. They stretched us on the sides and tried to get good combinations. But we didn’t allow them many chances, even us had more.

“The match was decided in the first 20 minutes of the second half, two set-pieces two goals. But I have to give credit to my players that even at 2-0 [down] they played until the finish. We had opportunities, the biggest on set-pieces. It’s unlucky we missed chances. The goal came too late. We needed maybe five minutes more. But I’m happy how my team played, they played until the finish."
