Khoza makes Palacios deal permanent

‘Njenje’ took over from sacked Brazilian Julio Leal and led the club to the League title to complete a second successive treble.

Buccaneers fans have called for Palacios to be rewarded with a permanent contract, and Khoza seems to have heeded their calls, though he is adamant the Peruvian must also remain with the development.

“This will enable Palacios to have a ‘see-through’ benefit that will ensure the club does not lose out on players in whose development he has dedicated much effort,” Khoza tells the club’s official website.

A number of high-profile coaches had been linked with the job, including Lothar Matthaus, Hristo Stoitchkov and Ruud Gullit.
