The Lions of the North went ahead twice against Orlando Pirates but had to settle for a 2-2 draw in the Absa Premiership match after the Soweto giants showed their quality to come back in the game twice.
“To start off I’d like to thank the Almighty, none of this would have been possible without him. Going back to the game I think it goes down to preparation,” Msimango told SuperSport TV.
“When preparation meets opportunity good things happen. In this game I think we applied the tactics very well.”
The hard-running midfielder says the work he has put in at training is paying off and added that the match was one of the best in his career at Lions of the North.
“I work hard at training, I thank the technical team, my physio, the trainer. They all contribute towards my performance today. I’d like to dedicate this to my teammates as well, they put in a good shift today.
“One of my highlights [at Highlands Park], good game."
