Fans set to score big

The two teams meet each other at FNB Stadium on Saturday, where fans will get to play coach, and the sponsors, South African Breweries, have committed R2-million in prize money for the match as part of the deal with the two clubs.

The two chairmen, Irvin Khoza and Kaizer Motaung, have decided they will split the prize money and will donate R1-million to a Pirates fan and R1-million to a Chiefs fan for participating and voting in the “Be the Coach” campaign.

The announcement of the two winners will be made on Saturday, live, after the match and will be personally presented by the two chairmen.

The winners will keep R500 000 to themselves while the other R500 000 will be donated by the fan to charities or charitable projects in their local communities.

This announcement is again a world first and is a gesture shown by the respective chairmen to reward loyalty shown by their fans as well as contribute to the upliftment of communities.

Eligible fans need to have participated in the “Be the Coach” campaign.

Voting for the respective team starting line-ups closes on Wednesday, July 27 at midnight so there is still time for fans to participate.
