Rakhale played a key role in Pirates’ run to the CAF Confederation Cup final in 2015 when Tinkler steered Bucs, scoring in both legs of the quarter-finals against CS Sfaxien and again in the last-four of the event against Al-Ahly.
The pair have since reunited at the Chilli Boys, with Rakhale making his first start under Tinkler at the club in a goalless draw with Golden Arrows last weekend.
''I worked with Tinkler before and I can say I understand what type of a person he is because even now he hasn't changed his philosophy that we used to play at Pirates,'' Rakhale said.
''For me it is simple. I think, I'm not sure, but I think the guys are struggling a bit with what he wants. But as for me, I understand him. I think you saw even at the game I was doing the work and that is what he wants.
''It is important to help the team and the rest is a bonus for me.
''The most important thing is to enjoy myself and contribute to the team, that's it.''
