Katlego Mashego should have capitalised on Chiefs keeper Itumeleng Khune’s failure to clear a cross, but the Supersport striker shot into the side-netting, with Katlego Mphela and Pelembe in much better scoring positions.
Mabhuti Khanyeza should have sealed the game in the 90th minute when he latched onto a superb chest down by Shaun Bartlett, but the striker’s shot was too close to Onyango, who made a comfortable save.
