The 27-year-old Bafana Bafana left-back has garnered attention this campaign, having also won Wits' Players' Player of the Season prize.
Hlanti, who would welcome an offer for his services through the right channels, believes he has the mentality to play in competitive environments.
"At the moment no negotiations have taken place in between regarding my contract," Hlanti tells KickOff.com.
"It does end in June but I cannot say it's in the pipeline that I'm leaving because I'm still part of the team, and there's nothing I can do about that. I have to respect my contract. Actually I'm left with ... from June this year up until December, after that that's when I will be able to sign a pre-contract with any team. My biggest concern for now is that there's nothing I can say to anyone because of my contract with the team. So I have to respect that.
"To be on the safe side I must respect the team, and whoever is interested now must speak to Bidvest Wits because there is nothing I can say regarding the matter if it's like this.
"As for me, I like where there is a challenge, because even when I joined Wits I told myself that I'm here to compete, which is something that made me to be strong mentally. I can play anywhere where there's a challenge because it helps me grow. Even now when I got here at Wits I competed with [Onismor] Bhasera and learned a lot. Now [Keegan] Ritchie got here ... so those are the experienced players. Every time where there is competition I become good.
"Even now I do feel the challenge because as you know the kind of coach [Gavin Hunt] we have. You have to respect his thoughts because in the end he wants people who can work, you see. So that makes us to be always on the alert. I can say I still enjoy the challenge that exists here at Wits, but anything that might come I will welcome it."
The former AmaZulu man was grateful to be acknowledged by his peers and management at the club's annual awards ceremony.
"In the end it is a good thing and the people who I think played a major role in all this are the players, the technical staff and the directors because everyone had an input. But more specially the players, in the one of players' player of the season ... because obviously the other one is chosen by the technical staff and the directors.
"I'm very happy although the team didn't have a good start this season, but at least we managed to avoid relegation. But at the same time we failed to get into the MTN8, that part is not nice. There are situations you can't control in football, you have to be mentally strong to face those things. This season was a bad one for us although we managed to win the Telkom.
"It's not like we underestimated our opponents, we were aware that this season was going to be tough, you see. Because everyone playing against Wits was always going to put more effort in order for them to win, which is something that made the league to be competitive."
