This was after the player had completed his fifth season with the club. contacted Batabaire – who was on the wanted list of Kaizer Chiefs two years ago - on Friday, a day after he arrived back in the country. was told by Bidvest Wits’ coach Roger de Sa that Batabaire’s manager recommended him to the club, but the Clever Boys could not consider him since they had already exhausted their foreign quota.     “My contract with Celtic has expired. I have no problem with Celtic and they are free to say whatever they want to, but as far as I know my contract with them is over.   “What happened is that I didn’t show them any intention of staying at the club when my contract was coming to an end.   “I am not going back to Celtic because they already indicated during the off-season, when I was away at home, that they would not renew my contract. I am currently in Johannesburg because I have got no business in Bloemfontein anymore,” says Batabaire.    “I had issues to sort out back at home which is why I went back there. I never went anywhere for trials,” he says.   Asked about his next destination, Batabaire, who did duty for Makerere University and SC Villa in his native land, says, “anything is possible”.
