Annan enjoying KP partnership


While the Chelsea star took a lot of the plaudits on Ghana duties when he was fit, it was Annan who put in a lot of the hard work and has earned a reputation as the Claude Makalele of the Ghana side due not only to his similar small size but also because of his immense role in protecting the Ghanaian back four.   Annan has played two games so far in the heart of the Black Stars midfield with Portsmouth's Boateng and is enjoying it so far.   "Essien is a very good player but playing with Kevin gives me another step forward because he is a completely different player.   “We have gelled well in the first two games because we communicate a lot, we both are committed in the tackle and can pick out a good pass and I hope against Australia we can put that to good use," Annan told
