Owen Da Gama’s charges were in control in very hot conditions in the North African country from the start, taking the lead through France-based Lebo Mothiba just before the half hour mark.
Locally-based duo PhumlaniNtshangase and Keagan Dolly looked lively in the middle of the park, their creativity and forward-thinking movement earning the visitors their second goal which was deflected into the back of the net via the Tunisian defense.
The host’s task in the second half was made even harder with their skipper being shown his marching orders just before the half-time whistle.
The South Africans refused to left their foot off the gas in the second period, Mothiba completing his brace on 63 minutes before substitute Patel’s well-taken strike completed the 4-0 drubbing.
The result provides ideal preparations for the South African side ahead of the 8 Nations tournament taking place over November and December in Senegal at the end of the year.
