Rae: Downs will sweat at Makhulong

Nedbank Cup

Highlands Park midfielder Ryan Rae has promised Mamelodi Sundowns they will make it difficult for them when they visit Makhulong Stadium in the Nedbank Cup.

Highlands have been drawn against Sundowns in the quarter-finals after eliminating Kaizer Chiefs in the last 16 game played in Tembisa on Saturday.

The Lions of the North have already played in a cup final this season and were defeated by SuperSport United in the MTN8 in Soweto last year.

After beating Amakhosi, Highlands are now aiming to bring another PSL giant down.

"I can say it's going to be a tough game. Everyone coming to Makhulong is going to sweat. We will prepare ourselves and work hard," says Rae.

"It's going to be an entertaining game. We are excited for it. We are motivated for it. We can't wait. We need to get through any team to get to the trophy.

"That' our mentality, to be competitive, just do our best and show our supporters what we can do, especially at the Makhulong Stadium."
