Mamelodi Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane has reacted to the Nedbank Cup last 16 draw after his request to avoid another top-flight team was granted.
After eliminating SuperSport United on Saturday night, 'Jingles' expressed his desire to get an easy draw after claiming other teams always get kinder draws than Sundowns.
But on Monday night his wish came true when his side was drawn against Vaal University of Technology FC in the last 16.
"Yes, we got the draw, VUT. We've been asking for a team at a lower level in ABC Motsepe League," Mosimane said.
However, VUT knocked out Golden Arrows in the last 32 on penalties and Mosimane says as much as he wanted to play against a smaller team, anything can still happen in the Nedbank Cup.
"We got it but you need to be careful what you ask for, because you're going to get the shock of your life," he warned.
"I mean as much as they are there, if they could eliminate Golden Arrows, the team in the premier league, then it means they are a good team.
"So as much as we think we got an easy draw, we have to be careful of teams in the ABC Motsepe League."
