Sundowns pitted against Chiefs slayers

The draw for the Nedbank Cup quarter-finals took place on Tuesday, with Mamelodi Sundowns drawn against the side that eliminated Kaizer Chiefs.

The round of 16 produced only one shock result as Highlands Park defeated Absa Premiership leaders Kaizer Chiefs on penalties on Saturday.

Meanwhile, there are only two lower league sides left in the tournament as TS Sporting overcame Happy Wanderers while Real Kings defeated Mbombela United.

Sundowns overcame fourth tier outfit VUT and have now been rewarded with an encounter against the Lions of the North.
