The hosts took a shock lead after just seven minutes as Silinga got his name on the score sheet, although United found themselves back level after 20 minutes throughSithebe.

However, FC Days were back in front just minutes before half-time, Mgwacu getting in on the action to again turn the game on its head.

The NFD side came out the blocks flying in the second-half, though, and took the lead with two goals in as many minutes, before making it 4-2 with 56 minutes gone after converting a penalty.

Mbombela went on to grab a fifth goal with 18 minutes of the match remaining to all but end FC Days’ hopes of a shock win.
