Chiefs managed to avoid another cup upset on the weekend, with Lebogang Manyama's solitary strike securing a 1-0 win over GladAfrica Championship side Royal Eagles.

Ernst Middendorp's charges will now lock horns with Highlands Park in the round of 16.

Mamelodi Sundowns, who still have CAF Champions League to contend with, overcame Tshwane rivals SuperSport United on Saturday and will now face Vaal University.

Vaal University pulled off the biggest shock in the last round after defeating top flight outfit Golden Arrows on penalties.
