Man-of-the-match Nation Ndlovu praised his side's hard work and dedication after their 1-0 victory over Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank Cup final at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
Ndlovu was instrumental in breaking down the Chiefs' attacks and shielding his defence as the holding midfielder.
Galaxy did brilliantly to soak up the pressure from their more-fancied opponents and spring on the counter-attack whenever possible, which Ndlovu said was a deliberate ploy of theirs.
"We had a plan," Ndlovu told SuperSport TV.
"We knew they would come at us, especially second half, and they did. But we had to manage the pressure and we managed to get that one break to end up getting the penalty. The hard work that we have put in it is amazing."
The 25-year-old then dedicated the award to his teammates, the fans and the coaching staff.
"I just want to thank my teammates, the supporters and the technical staff and I dedicate this award to them."
