Thobejane: Madubanya ready for Chiefs

Nedbank Cup

Madubanya, who joined Bakgaga last week following his exit from Platinum Stars in 2016, made his bow in a 2-0 win over the NFD side at NNK Rugby Stadium.

The result snapped a 15-game winless run for the topflight strugglers as they prepare to host Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs in the league at Peter Mokaba Stadium this Saturday.

"He played well, he played as a holding midfielder against FC Cape Town. He gives us nice shape," Thobejane tells

"He doesn't lose the ball easy, he created the first goal over the weekend. The Nedbank match prepared him well for the Chiefs match which is our next game."

Meanwhile, Thobejane says coaching partner Milton Dlamini will add value following his recent surprise appointment.

"Me and him we are co-coaches, we share. He will help us a lot. As long as he is here he will help us a lot. We've only been with him for a week but he understands football."
