Shabba chuffed with Chiefs progress

Nedbank Cup

Amakhosi are three points shy of Absa Premiership leaders Bidvest Wits as the season enters the final third, while they booked a spot in Thursday's Nedbank Cup last-16 draw with a 3-0 win at NFD side Stellenbosch FC over the weekend.

Tshabalala, who netted his 50th goal for Chiefs on Saturday, told his official website: "It was a great performance by the team. We played well and we seem to be getting better each game. This is because of the hard work and dedication of all the players. We are through to the next round and hope that we can do the same with our next match."

'Shabba' insists the Glamour Boys, unbeaten in 12 straight matches, are not worrying about who they will meet next in the cup.

"It does not matter which team is drawn against us because we will have to play against them anyway. So we do not have a specific team that we would like to get in the draw. We will eagerly wait for the draw so that we can go ahead and prepare for that match as we do with every match we have to play."
