Brockie top scorer with 18 goals

Nedbank Cup

Brockie beat Kermit Erasmus’ tally of 16 from last season – and didn't have the addition of CAF competitions – by netting 11 in the league, one in the MTN8, two in the Telkom Knockout and four in the Nedbank Cup.

The Kiwi should now be the favourite to win the Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament at the PSL awards on Monday night despite finishing a goal behind Pirates striker Tendai Ndoro in that competition.

Brockie dragged his team back into the Nedbank Cup final on Saturday afternoon with a classic striker’s header after they went behind early against Pirates.

It was also his well-struck shot that was parried by Brighton Mhlongo to Bradley Grobler who made it 2-1 before Michael Boxall capped off the win at Peter Mokaba Stadium.

It was Brockie’s first ever cup final and the first cup trophy he has lifted in his career.
