“I’m pleased with the win though we made life every difficult for ourselves, we made it look very difficult, we could have cruised through this game to be honest,” he said on SuperSport TV.

“Not disrespecting the opponents but we really did some childish errors, not committing to duties, going forward offering support to the player on the ball, sometimes passing very late.

“These things happen sometimes when you are too confident, we became presumptuous and we think ‘ag, we are done with this one’. One day you will be surprised, we will be shocked. But I’m happy that we got the win.

“It’s the story of this season hey, I can pinpoint one game that we deserved to lose, that’s the Platinum Stars game. But all the other games you look and you ask yourself ‘Really? How did we lose this?’ And this has been the story of 2017.

“But I’m hoping that some sanity can just come into the players’ heads and realise what potential they have, what this team has as a potential and go forward from then on.”
